Old Delft Water Walk
Next, we walk a bit further, till halfway along Geerweg, about sixty meters. The quay along Geerweg is very low, about 10 cm above the canal water level. But at some places, the quay is higher. New homes have been built there, and sand has been used to raise the ground level locally to reduce flooding risks. Similar localized elevations can be seen elsewhere in the city.
