Climate change – water in the city and surrounding region
The City of Delft and the Delfland Water Board are preparing for water problems due to climate change (too much, too little or too polluted). The ‘Delftse Waterloop’ makes this climate adaptation visible in the city and in the adjacent polder. You can also read additional information about climate and climate adaptation at home. Our upcoming event is the Delft Water Week from 16-23 March 2025 with the Water Market in OPEN on 22 March, World Water Day.
Thematic walks
We have three thematic water walks which we present to you below.
The organization ‘Delftse Waterloop’
The Delftse Waterloop (a citizen initiative) aims to share knowledge about water management in Delft and to explain how we can best prepare for climate change. What are the city of Delft and the local Water Board Delfland doing? What can you do yourself? Follow one of our thematic walks or join a guided tour. Come to our events and see for yourself what is already happening. In addition to our walks, we participate in and organize events such as the Delft Water Week and the Delft Climate Week. If your are interested in participating in events or learning more, contact us at info@delftsewaterloop.nl.
